Inelul Gastric/ Gastric Band
Gastric bypass is the surgical intervention that creates a bag with a volume of about 30 ml of stomach by dividing the stomach peak from the rest of the stomach. The first part of the small intestine is then divided into two, the lower part of the intestine being brought and connected to the newly created bag. The end of the procedure is to connect the upper portion of the small intestine divided by the lower part of the small intestine proper. Thus, gastric acids and digestive enzymes in the bypassed stomach and the first portion of the small intestine will eventually mix with the food.
